The copper peptide behind collagen and regeneration research.
GHK-Cu (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine copper complex) is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide with a long history in dermatological and regenerative research. It's been studied for its role in collagen synthesis, elastin production, wound healing, and antioxidant defence — making it one of the most investigated copper peptides in cosmeceutical and tissue research.
Natural GHK-Cu levels peak around age 20 and decline ~60% by age 60 — correlating directly with reduced collagen production, thinner skin, and slower wound healing.
Collagen & Elastin Synthesis
Drives Types I and III collagen production — the structural proteins responsible for skin firmness, tendon strength, and vascular integrity. Also increases elastin synthesis for tissue elasticity and resilience.
Antioxidant Upregulation
Upregulates superoxide dismutase (SOD) and other antioxidant enzymes. Reduces oxidative stress damage at the cellular level — one of the primary drivers of biological ageing.
Reconstitution
Recommended: 2ml BAC water → 25mg/ml. 1mg = 4 units, 2mg = 8 units, 3mg = 12 units. Solution will appear blue — this is normal and indicates active copper binding.
Also available in our Glow Blend — 50mg GHK-Cu + 10mg BPC-157 + 10mg TB-500 in a single vial for researchers who want the combined regenerative protocol. View Glow Blend →
Storage: Lyophilised: -20°C, protect from light. Reconstituted: 2–8°C, use within 28 days. Copper coordination verified via UV-Vis spectroscopy.
