Our Guide to Reconstitution

📘 Reconstitution Guide

Reconstitution is the process of dissolving lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptide powder into a liquid solution using bacteriostatic water. The amount of water you add determines the concentration, which affects how much liquid you draw per dose.

Below you'll find peptide-specific reconstitution options with at least two BAC water volumes per product, so you can choose the concentration that best fits your research protocol.

01

Clean Both Vials

Swab the rubber stopper of both the peptide vial and the BAC water vial with an alcohol swab. Allow to air dry for 10 seconds.

02

Draw BAC Water

Using a clean insulin syringe, draw your chosen volume of BAC water. Pull the plunger slowly and steadily to minimise air bubbles.

03

Add Against the Vial Wall

Insert the needle into the peptide vial. Angle the needle so the water runs down the inside wall of the vial — never squirt directly onto the powder. Release slowly.

04

Dissolve Gently

Never shake. Gently swirl or roll the vial between your palms. Let it sit for 2–3 minutes if needed. The solution should be completely clear.

05

Refrigerate Immediately

Store at 2–8°C. Label the vial with the date and concentration. Use within 28–30 days. Never freeze a reconstituted peptide.

Retatrutide

Triple Agonist

Retatrutide is dosed in milligrams, typically ranging from 1mg (starting) up to 12mg (maintenance). The BAC water volume you choose depends on which dose range you're working with — lower concentrations give easier measurements at lower doses, higher concentrations reduce injection volume at higher doses.

10mg Vial

Option A — 2ml BAC Water

5 mg/ml

Best for low-to-mid dose protocols. All doses from 1mg to 5mg land on clean syringe markings.

1mg = 20 units · 2mg = 40 units · 4mg = 80 units

Formula: dose (mg) ÷ 5 × 100 = units

Option B — 1ml BAC Water

10 mg/ml

More concentrated — smaller injection volumes. Better for higher dose protocols but requires precise measurement at lower doses.

1mg = 10 units · 4mg = 40 units · 8mg = 80 units

Formula: dose (mg) ÷ 10 × 100 = units

20mg Vial

Option A — 2ml BAC Water

10 mg/ml

Standard concentration for the 20mg vial. Clean markings across the full dose range.

2mg = 20 units · 4mg = 40 units · 8mg = 80 units · 12mg = split across two syringes

Option B — 4ml BAC Water

5 mg/ml

Lower concentration for easier measurement at lower doses during titration phases.

1mg = 20 units · 2mg = 40 units · 4mg = 80 units

30mg Vial

Option A — 3ml BAC Water

10 mg/ml

Standard concentration. Fits most research protocols cleanly.

4mg = 40 units · 8mg = 80 units · 12mg = split across two syringes

Option B — 6ml BAC Water

5 mg/ml

Lower concentration for precision at lower doses. Larger injection volumes at higher doses.

2mg = 40 units · 4mg = 80 units

Storage: Lyophilised: -20°C long-term, 2–8°C short-term. Reconstituted: 2–8°C, use within 28 days. Never freeze after reconstitution.

Tirzepatide

Dual Agonist

Tirzepatide is dosed weekly, typically starting at 2.5mg and titrating up to 15mg. Clinical protocols use dose escalation every 4 weeks.

Option A — 2ml BAC Water (10mg vial)

5 mg/ml

Standard concentration. Works well across the full titration range from 2.5mg to 5mg per dose.

2.5mg = 50 units · 5mg = 100 units (full syringe)

Formula: dose (mg) ÷ 5 × 100 = units

Option B — 1ml BAC Water (10mg vial)

10 mg/ml

Higher concentration — half the injection volume. Better for higher dose protocols (7.5mg+).

2.5mg = 25 units · 5mg = 50 units · 7.5mg = 75 units · 10mg = 100 units

Storage: Lyophilised: -20°C long-term. Reconstituted: 2–8°C, use within 28 days. Molecular weight: ~4,813 Da.

Semaglutide

GLP-1 Agonist

Semaglutide is dosed weekly, typically starting at 0.25mg and titrating up to 2.4mg over several months. The low starting dose makes concentration choice critical for accurate measurement.

Option A — 2ml BAC Water (5mg vial)

2.5 mg/ml

Best for the full titration range. Starting doses land on readable syringe markings.

0.25mg = 10 units · 0.5mg = 20 units · 1mg = 40 units · 2mg = 80 units

Formula: dose (mg) ÷ 2.5 × 100 = units

Option B — 1ml BAC Water (5mg vial)

5 mg/ml

Higher concentration — very small volumes at starting doses. Requires precise syringe handling.

0.25mg = 5 units · 0.5mg = 10 units · 1mg = 20 units · 2mg = 40 units

Note: At 5mg/ml concentration, a 0.25mg starting dose is only 5 units — which is difficult to measure accurately on a standard 100-unit syringe. The 2ml option (2.5mg/ml) is strongly recommended for researchers starting at low doses.

Storage: Lyophilised: -20°C long-term. Reconstituted: 2–8°C, use within 28 days. Molecular weight: ~4,113 Da.

Melanotan II

Melanocortin Agonist

Melanotan II is typically dosed in micrograms (mcg), with common research doses ranging from 250mcg to 1mg. Lower starting doses are common for initial tolerance assessment.

Option A — 2ml BAC Water (10mg vial)

5 mg/ml (5,000 mcg/ml)

Standard concentration. Clean measurements across the most common dose range.

250mcg = 5 units · 500mcg = 10 units · 1mg = 20 units

Formula: dose (mcg) ÷ 5000 × 100 = units

Option B — 1ml BAC Water (10mg vial)

10 mg/ml (10,000 mcg/ml)

Higher concentration — very small injection volumes. Best for researchers who prefer minimal volume.

250mcg = 2.5 units · 500mcg = 5 units · 1mg = 10 units

Loading vs maintenance: Research protocols typically use a higher frequency (daily) during an initial loading phase, then reduce to 1–2 times per week for maintenance. The 2ml option gives better measurement precision for the lower maintenance doses.

Storage: Lyophilised: -20°C. Reconstituted: 2–8°C, use within 28 days. Protect from UV light. MW: 1,024.18 g/mol.

Ipamorelin

GH Secretagogue

Ipamorelin is typically dosed at 200–300mcg per administration, often 2–3 times daily on an empty stomach. The pentapeptide structure makes it very stable once reconstituted.

Option A — 4ml BAC Water (10mg vial)

2.5 mg/ml (2,500 mcg/ml)

Best for standard dosing. Clean measurements at common research doses.

200mcg = 8 units · 250mcg = 10 units · 300mcg = 12 units

Formula: dose (mcg) ÷ 2500 × 100 = units

Option B — 2ml BAC Water (10mg vial)

5 mg/ml (5,000 mcg/ml)

Higher concentration for smaller injection volumes. Best for researchers dosing 3x daily who want to minimise total volume.

200mcg = 4 units · 250mcg = 5 units · 300mcg = 6 units

Timing matters: Ipamorelin is most effective on an empty stomach — typically 30 minutes before eating or 2+ hours after a meal. GH secretagogues are sensitive to blood glucose levels.

Storage: Lyophilised: -20°C. Reconstituted: 2–8°C, use within 28 days. MW: 711.85 g/mol.

Wolverine Blend

BPC-157 + TB-500

The Wolverine Blend contains 5mg BPC-157 + 5mg TB-500 (10mg total) in a single vial. BPC-157 is typically dosed at 250–500mcg/day while TB-500 is typically dosed at 2–5mg twice weekly during loading and 1–2mg weekly for maintenance. Because they're blended, each draw contains both peptides in a 1:1 ratio.

Option A — 2ml BAC Water

5 mg/ml total (2.5mg/ml each)

Standard concentration. Good balance of precision and volume across the full dose range.

500mcg total (250mcg each) = 10 units
1mg total (500mcg each) = 20 units
2mg total (1mg each) = 40 units

Option B — 4ml BAC Water

2.5 mg/ml total (1.25mg/ml each)

Lower concentration for greater measurement precision at lower doses. Larger injection volumes.

500mcg total = 20 units
1mg total = 40 units
2mg total = 80 units

Blend note: Since BPC-157 and TB-500 are pre-mixed at a 1:1 ratio, each dose delivers equal amounts of both peptides. If your protocol requires different ratios, purchase them as separate vials.

Storage: Lyophilised: -20°C. Reconstituted: 2–8°C, use within 28 days.

Glow Blend

GHK-Cu + BPC-157 + TB-500

The Glow Blend contains 50mg GHK-Cu, 10mg BPC-157, and 10mg TB-500 (70mg total). GHK-Cu dominates the blend as it requires higher doses for skin and collagen research protocols.

Option A — 3ml BAC Water

23.3 mg/ml total

Standard reconstitution for this blend. Gives manageable injection volumes across common dose ranges.

Per 10 units (0.1ml): ~2.33mg total
(1.67mg GHK-Cu + 0.33mg BPC-157 + 0.33mg TB-500)

Option B — 5ml BAC Water

14 mg/ml total

Lower concentration for easier measurement. Better for lower dose protocols.

Per 10 units (0.1ml): ~1.4mg total
(1mg GHK-Cu + 0.2mg BPC-157 + 0.2mg TB-500)

Appearance: GHK-Cu solution will appear blue/blue-green after reconstitution — this is completely normal and indicates active copper binding. A clear, colourless solution suggests the copper complex may be compromised.

Storage: Lyophilised: -20°C, protect from light. Reconstituted: 2–8°C, use within 28 days.

GHK-Cu (Copper Peptide)

Regenerative

Standalone GHK-Cu (50mg) is dosed in milligrams, with common research doses ranging from 1–3mg per administration, typically once daily. Higher doses are used in some dermatological research protocols.

Option A — 2ml BAC Water (50mg vial)

25 mg/ml

Standard concentration. Works across the common dose range with manageable volumes.

1mg = 4 units · 2mg = 8 units · 3mg = 12 units · 5mg = 20 units

Formula: dose (mg) ÷ 25 × 100 = units

Option B — 5ml BAC Water (50mg vial)

10 mg/ml

Lower concentration for researchers who prefer larger, easier-to-measure volumes.

1mg = 10 units · 2mg = 20 units · 3mg = 30 units · 5mg = 50 units

Appearance: Reconstituted GHK-Cu will appear blue — this is the natural colour of the copper-peptide complex and indicates proper binding. MW: 403.92 g/mol.

Storage: Lyophilised: -20°C, protect from light. Reconstituted: 2–8°C, use within 28 days.
