🧬 Tissue Repair Research Peptide

A synthetic peptide studied for tissue repair and cellular recovery pathways.

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide consisting of 15 amino acids. Derived from a sequence associated with gastric proteins, BPC-157 has attracted scientific interest for its potential influence on tissue regeneration, gastrointestinal protection, angiogenesis and inflammatory signalling. Research has primarily examined its biological activity in laboratory and animal models, particularly those involving soft-tissue injury and cellular recovery.

Tendon, Ligament & Muscle Research

BPC-157 has been investigated in preclinical models involving tendon, ligament and skeletal muscle injuries. Experimental research has examined its influence on fibroblast activity, collagen organisation and tissue-repair signalling. Some animal studies have reported improvements in structural recovery and tissue function, although these findings have not been established in large-scale human clinical trials.

Gastrointestinal & Cellular Protection

Originally investigated in relation to gastrointestinal tissues, BPC-157 has been studied in experimental models of gastric injury, intestinal inflammation and mucosal repair. Researchers have explored its effects on protective cellular responses, inflammatory mediators and gastrointestinal tissue integrity. These findings remain predominantly preclinical and do not establish effectiveness for human gastrointestinal conditions.

Angiogenesis & Growth Factor Signalling

Another area of BPC-157 research involves angiogenesis, the process through which new blood vessels develop from existing vessels. Laboratory investigations have examined its interactions with vascular signalling pathways, including vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), alongside mechanisms associated with tissue remodelling and cellular repair.

Storage & Handling: BPC-157 is supplied as a lyophilised research material. Store according to the supplier's batch-specific documentation and validated stability conditions. Protect samples from unnecessary moisture, light exposure and temperature fluctuations. Reconstituted sample stability depends on solvent selection, concentration and experimental conditions.

For laboratory research use only. Not for human consumption or clinical administration. Findings from preclinical studies do not establish the safety or effectiveness of BPC-157 in humans.
