The Wolverine Stack: What's the Hype?

šŸ’Ŗ Recovery Research

The combination of BPC-157 and TB-500 has become one of the most widely discussed peptide protocols in the research community. Often referred to as the "Wolverine Stack," this pairing is grounded in complementary mechanisms that target both local and systemic tissue repair pathways.

How BPC-157 Works

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound) is a 15-amino acid synthetic peptide derived from a sequence found in human gastric juice. It primarily acts locally at injury sites, driving angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation) through VEGF upregulation, modulating growth factor signalling through the FAK-paxillin pathway, and interacting with the nitric oxide system to regulate inflammation and tissue remodelling.

Preclinical models have shown accelerated healing in tendon, ligament, muscle, bone, and gastrointestinal tissue.

How TB-500 Works

TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of Thymosin Beta-4, a naturally occurring 43-amino acid protein found in virtually all mammalian cells. Unlike BPC-157's local action, TB-500 works systemically through actin sequestration — regulating the balance between monomeric and filamentous actin states, which is central to cell shape, motility, and division.

Its low molecular weight allows it to travel easily throughout the body, promoting cell migration to injury sites and reducing inflammation system-wide.

Why Combine Them?

BPC-157 — Local Action

Drives angiogenesis at injury sites. Modulates growth factors through NO pathways. Strongest activity in GI and musculoskeletal repair models.

TB-500 — Systemic Action

Enhances cell migration body-wide through actin regulation. Reduces inflammation systemically. Strong cardiovascular and neurological repair activity.

Together they provide dual angiogenic stimulation through distinct pathways, coordinated inflammatory resolution, and enhanced extracellular matrix remodelling — targeting both structural and signalling components of tissue repair simultaneously.

Our Wolverine Blend combines 5mg BPC-157 + 5mg TB-500 in a single 10mg lyophilised vial. For reconstitution details, see our Reconstitution Guide.
